A testament to the Annual Steak Supper the Mannville Recreation Centre was filled to near capacity with the 300 diners who had come to enjoy steak supper with all the trimmings. Diners had arrived from Vermilion, Mannville, Minburn, Clandonald, Innisfree, Myrnam and beyond to partake.
Held April 22nd, the Agricultural Society partnered for the first time with M-M-IF.C.S.S. who sponsored with Volunteer Alberta Enhancement Funding a guest speaker for this annual event in recognition of Volunteers during National Volunteer Week.
Guest speaker Brenda Robinson is promoted as a speaker, trainer, writer and consultant with a passion for working with people. Utilizing comedy Robinson addressed the Mannville diners on communication, positive working skills and keeping life interesting and exciting, teaching her audience about themselves and others.
Ag Director Johnny Bielesch commented, “I is an awesome night with awesome food and great community involvement. This has always been a good fundraiser and I’m glad to see the people come.” Bielesch also expressed gratitude to the donors of silent auction items and the donator Highway Services who provided the society with the steaks.
The society plan to utilize funds raised from the evenings steak supper towards the repair of the facilities roof.
